We have to wait another month until “Avatar – The Lord of the Elements“ends up in Netflix’s streaming subscription. After already releasing a teaser for the upcoming series, today’s first full-length trailer gets you in the mood for the adaptation. Fans of the celebrated animated series have high hopes for the live-action adaptation – and the streaming service with the big red N has put a lot of effort into casting to hire actors who visually fit their roles perfectly.
Gordon Cormier (“The Stand”) will star as Avatar Aang. Also starring are Kiawentiio Tarbell (“Anne With an E”) as waterbender Katara, Ian Ousley (“Dead Girls Don’t Lie”) as Katara’s brother Sokka, Dallas Liu (“Shang-Chi”) as Fire Prince Zuko, Elizabeth Yu (“Somewhere in Queens”) as Zuko’s sister Azula, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (“The Mandalorian”) as Zuko’s wise uncle Iroh and the “Lost” stars Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai and Ken Leung as Commander Zhao.

In “Avatar – The Lord of the Elements” there are four nations, each belonging to one of the four elements (water, air, earth, fire). Some inhabitants of these lands have the ability to manipulate the elements to their liking. But only one – the Avatar – can control all four elements at once. The focus is on Aang and his companions, who take on the task of putting an end to the dark activities of the ruler of the Fire Nation.
“Avatar: The Last Airbender” will be released on Netflix on February 22, 2024. The first season will consist of eight episodes. Here is the trailer in the original English version:
