Sci-fi cult “Tron 3” finally arrives: “The X-Files” legend now alongside Jared Leto

‘Tron 3’ was hinted at at the end of ‘Tron: Legacy’ – but that was almost 13 years ago. Recently, some fans have already noticed that there will likely ultimately be a similar period between Part 2 and Part 3 as the 28 years it took from the classic ‘Tron’ to a sequel. Because the production of “Tron 3” was repeatedly postponed. Filming was eventually set to begin in the summer of 2023 – before the Hollywood strikes halted plans once again.

But Disney is sticking with “Tron 3.” This not only shows renewed signs of life from the casting department. Legend of ‘The X-Files’ Gillian Anderson joins the cast. “Tron 3”: Now a program is coming into our world

After immersing people in a virtual world in the ‘Tron’ films, ‘Tron 3’ goes in the opposite direction. The program Ares (Jared Leto) regains consciousness and then manages to escape into the real world. Further details are still being kept secret.

“Tron 3: Ares” is directed by Joachim Rønning, who worked with Disney on “Pirates Of The Caribbean 5: Salazar’s Revenge” and “Maleficent 2: Forces of Darkness.” The screenplay is by Jesse Wigutow (“8 Mile”) and Jack Thorne (“Enola Holmes”).

“Tron 3” is finally being made

Fans can now rejoice that ‘Tron 3’ is finally being made. After director Joachim Rønning posted a photo from a planning meeting a few weeks ago to show that work on the film was underway again, He now announced on social media that the first week of filming has started.
