Perfect for home cinema and European football championships: this super-bright 4K projector from Acer is the ultimate price-performance tip

According to the price comparison portal Geizhals.de there are currently just three cheaper 4K projectors on the market, but they are all significantly less light than the Acer.

Acer 4K projector: Super bright for home theater, gaming and football

The Acer H6815BD does perfect for large and bright home theaters. With a brightness of 4,000 ANSI lumens, even screen diagonals of 4.5 meters are very well illuminated in only moderate darkness. Anyone who buys the projector with a view to the upcoming European Football Championship in Germany can be assured that football matches will be clearly visible even in daylight. Acer’s special football mode improves the colors for an even better image impression.

And anyone who uses the projector for gaming will be happy with the Acer thanks to a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz and a very low input delay of only 8.4 milliseconds completely happy. However, 240 Hz is “only” achieved with Full HD resolution. The projector is also 3D capable, which further enhances the home theater experience. The Acer also supports HDR10 as an HDR format.

Given its price, the Acer doesn’t offer “true” – that is, native – 4K resolution. Instead, the projector scales the Full HD signal via PixelShift up to Ultra HD resolution. For comparison, the currently cheapest projector with native UHD resolution is the Sony VPL-XW5000ES for 4,885 euros on Heimkinoraum.de.

That is it AcerH6815BD* a very cheap alternative with high brightness for home cinema, gaming and the upcoming European Football Championship. Only the rather moderately dark black levels are noticeable in the dark home theater. The integrated speaker won’t blow anyone away and an integrated media player is also missing. The latter can easily be avoided with a streaming stick.
