Samsung HW-Q995GC: the real premium soundbar
The highlight of the Samsung soundbar is the excellent surround sound. A total of 22 speakers are built into the bar and the effect speakers. This is how it is made a full-fledged 11.1.4 sound system in a compact form, which supports both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Sound effects come from all sides and provide an immersive movie experience.
Four small speakers are integrated on the sides of the soundbar, which radiate the sound to the sides. This is created in combination with the effect speakers a comprehensive all-round sound. There are also the upward-facing speakers in the soundbar and the effect speakers that throw the sound towards the ceiling, from where it rains down on you. This is how the spatial sound is created a real cinema experience already very close.
This requires the effect speakers and the subwoofer no cable connection to the sound bar. A nearby socket is sufficient. The soundbar itself is only seven centimeters high and 123 centimeters wide, meaning it fits under or in front of most televisions.
Wireless connection to a Samsung TV
The Samsung HW-Q995GC also offers sufficient connections. An HDMI connection allows daisy chaining including eARC Dolby Atmos signals shipped without loss. Two additional HDMI inputs are also available. However, these do not support 120 Hz and are therefore less suitable for game consoles. Bluetooth and WLAN for music streaming are of course also on board.
The soundbar is also exciting for anyone who already has a Samsung television. With Q-Symphony, the TV speakers can be converted into center speakers for even more sound. Some Samsung TVs even support one wireless connection to the soundbar including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
The only point of criticism is the somewhat careless choice of materials and the unusable screen of the Samsung HW-Q995GC, which can only display three characters at a time. Here you can easily access the app and make detailed settings. Otherwise you get one Absolute premium soundbar with brilliant surround soundwhich is a real alternative to a large sound system due to the fair price.
The devilishly good alternative to the Samsung soundbar

However, you also need a receiver to get the most out of the two floorstanding speakers, the subwoofer, the center speaker and the two bookshelf speakers.
