Actor Christian Oliverwhose real name is Christian Klepster, is one of four victims killed in a small plane crash on a Caribbean island on Thursday Saint Vincent and the Grenadinesconfirmed by local media this Friday.
Oliver, born in Germany but an American citizen, had a remarkable career spanning 15 years, starring in films such as ‘Speed Racer’, ‘The Good German’, ‘Valkyrie’ and ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’details of the imdb.com specialized site.
Oliver traveled with his daughters, Madita Klepser and Annik Klepser, 10 and 12 yearsand the pilot Robert Sachsheading towards the island Saint Lucia.
The ship took off at around 12:00 local time (16:00 GMT) from James Mitchell Airport in Bequia – a territory of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines – but minutes later it went down exactly one nautical mile west of Little Nevis.
A video posted by a citizen on social media shows the moment the aircraft fell into the water.
“The plane has crashed! Call the Coast Guard,” exclaims the person who recorded the video.
On the other hand, the newspaper reflectorin San Vicente, reported that Sachs had alerted the control tower at the local airport that there was a problem with the plane, so he wanted to return to the runway.
That was the last communication the control tower had with Sachs.
The bodies were saved by the coast guard of St. Vincent.
The cause of the accident is still unknown, but the police are investigating.
