The list of famous personalities who own their own wines has grown by one name with the addition of American Whoopi Goldberg (68). Many will remember the award-winning actress from the hit movie Sister Act, which has been an idyllic career. The brilliant comedy with heart-warming gospel songs is recommended for everyone.
Goldberg launched her own Prosecco brand under the name Whoopi in 2022, and it’s currently being relaunched with a revised edition. Whoopi Prosecco Superiore DOCG comes from the hugely popular Asolo appellation north of Venice. While a total of one million bottles of Asolo Prosecco were bottled in 2013, seven years later this number was already around 19 million. However, it is not known how many bottles of the new Whoopi Prosecco are available.

“Enjoy your Prosecco with friends,” Goldberg suggests on Instagram. A good bottle of Prosecco “goes well with good conversation and having a good time together,” the actress continued. The fresh, fruity sparkling wine has a low alcohol content of 11.5 percent by volume, typical of Prosecco.
Swiss wine fans interested in the new Whoopi Prosecco will need to be patient, as the sparkling wine is currently only available in the US. With a retail price of just under $23 per bottle, Goldberg’s Prosecco is in the slightly pricier segment.
