British actor Tom Wilkinson has died at the age of 75. This was reported by the PA news agency on Saturday. Born in Leeds, England and twice Oscar nominated, the actor has appeared in numerous film and television productions. He played supporting roles in the films ‘Shakespeare in Love’, ‘The Exorcism of Emily Rose’, ‘Batman Begins’ and ‘Grand Budapest Hotel’.
PA quoted a statement from Wilkinson’s agent: “It is with great sadness that the family of Tom Wilkinson announce that he passed away suddenly at his home on December 30. His wife and family were with him.
»In Great Britain, Wilkinson was best known for the comedy “Full Monty”. The 1997 film is about a group of men who try to make a living by putting on a striptease show. (sda/dpa)
