Zack Snyder addresses fans’ concerns: that’s why a dead character returns despite his sacrifice in “Rebel Moon 2”

In ‘Rebel Moon – Part 2: The Scar Maker’, the farmers of Veldt prepare for the impending battle against the empire – supported by the small troops brought in by Kora (Sofia Boutella) and Gunnar (Michiel Huisman). In the first trailer we get a taste of the action – and suddenly Darrian Bloodaxe (Ray Fisher) is in the middle of it.

This surprises some fans. Ultimately, the rebel leader died in “Rebel Moon – Part 1: Child of Fire.” He selflessly sacrificed himself to save Kora and Co. a chance of survival. Is this death denied?

We know that dying doesn’t have to be final in this science fiction world, as the fate of the sadistic Admiral Atticus Noble (Ed Skrein) at the end of the first part proves. But while its revival shows how powerful and invincible the Empire appears to be, it would be greatly devalued if the Rebellion also had similar options. But the concern is probably unfounded.

Lots of flashbacks in “Rebel Moon 2”

Because Zack Snyder did that The trailer is now explained in a video for Netflix. He says, that the scene with Darrian Bloodaxe is from a flashback. Here we see how the courageous rebel Milius (E. Duffy) is freed from slavery by the Blood Axes.

According to Snyder, we will see several such flashbacks in Rebel Moon 2. He also talks about scenes from the preview that show the previous work of legendary commander Titus (Djimon Hounsou) and also explore the royal past of Tarak (Staiz Nair). This is probably how we see the demise of his planet.

After all the characters in ‘Rebel Moon 1’ were given little background information, ‘Rebel Moon 2’ must explain where their aversion to the Empire comes from and why they join the almost hopeless battle in Veldt. Each character gets a flashback explaining their backstory – like Kora in the first part.

In terms of the main story, “Rebel Moon 2” seems to continue to follow the obvious model of “The Seven Samurai”. Zack Snyder reveals that the citizens of Veldt clearly don’t stand a chance against Noble’s forces in an open and fair fight and that’s why we’ll see them preparing traps. The farmers in Akira Kurosawa’s classic act in a similar way.
