Director legend reveals new details about Quentin Tarantino’s latest film

Not much is known about Quentin Tarantino’s latest film so far. The exceptional artist’s tenth and final directorial project is called “The Movie Critic” and is set in the 1970s. The focus is on the fictional film critic Jim Sheldon, who reviews mainstream films for the porn magazine The Popstar Pages. But with his argumentative style, his loud manner and his many insults, he doesn’t just make friends…

Now wants director legend Paul Schrader (who wrote the script for the cult classic ‘Taxi Driver’) has new information about Tarantino’s latest work and shared it in an interview with the French daily.

Tarantino uses one of the coolest elements from his previous film

Paul Schrader shared this in the interview with the French newspaper (through ) that he was in contact with Quentin Tarantino, who asked him for permission to reshoot part of one of his previous films and also change elements:

Quentin will include excerpts from films from the 1970s. And he will also make his own versions of films from this period. “He asked me for permission to record the ending of John Flynn’s Rolling Thunder as I wrote it in the original script – before it was completely rewritten and toned down.”

If the director’s statement turns out to be true, Tarantino’s latest film would revisit one of the coolest elements from Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood. Here too, the director re-staged individual scenes from Hollywood classics or used archive material to have his stars appear in classic films. And so, for example, Leonardo DiCaprio suddenly appeared as Rick Dalton in the Steve McQueen classic ‘Broken Chains’.

We are certainly curious to see which film gems can be found in Tarantino’s latest work this time. Unfortunately, there is currently no confirmation of concrete pouring, nor a specific start date. Yet an actor has already received an offer to play the leading role in ‘The Movie Critic’:
