Silvia Pinal will leave the hospital by the end of the year

Actress Silvia Pinal, the 92-year-old considered the last diva of Mexican film gold, will spend the end of the year at home, although she is still in the hospital with the flu, her friend, producer Iván Cochegrus, said Thursday.

“He’s going home in two days, – On Friday at the latest, the New Year will be there – Cochegrus, who monitored the actress’ health and visited her in the hospital, told the media.

The producer stated that Pinal is out of danger, and emphasized that “he is very well, he is already joking, he is in a very good mood”.

Although the actress planned to celebrate the New Year holidays in Acapulco SpaCochegrus clarified that due to his health condition, he will remain in Mexico City to avoid any risk.

He also clarified that Pinal “She was neither in danger of life”, but because of the flu she had to be especially careful, which is why she was admitted to intensive care as a preventive measure.

She was not intubated, nor is she old, the lady is conscious, eating well, that is, everything is normal,” he assures.

Pinal, born year the city of Guaymas, in the northern state of Sonora, is considered one of the greats of the golden age of Mexican cinema, along with other icons such as Dolores del Río (1904-1983) and María Félix (1914-2002).

In 2021, the actress had health problems after contracting the coronavirus, for which she was also admitted to the hospital.
