“Rebel Moon – Part 1: Child of Fire” not only disappointed us across the board. But perhaps Zack Snyder can do better with the already made sequel and offer a stronger retelling of the story?
The sequel will feature Kora (Sofia Boutella), Nemesis (Doona Bae), Tarak (Staz Nair) and Co. prepare the Veldt farming community around Gunnar (Michiel Huisman) and young Sam (Charlotte Maggi) for the coming confrontation with the troops of Arm Kora’s ‘father’ Bellisarius (Fra Fee). They are shocked to discover that they are still led by Atticus Noble (Ed Skrein). Can the defeated heroes survive? Will the rebellion come to their aid? First of all, Veldt’s defenders must come to terms with their own past…
“Rebel Moon 2”: More background for the characters?
According to an announcement from Netflix, all the brave warriors gathered in the first film will have to face the truth about their past in the second part. Does this mean we’ll learn more about the characters and their motivations for defending Veldt? Will we finally see what makes them so special and so feared by the Imperial forces? In any case, the trailer shows Titus (Djimon Hounsou) giving instructions. So maybe we’ll finally see his brilliance as a team leader in the sequel? After all, in the first part it was talked about reverently again and again, without any trace of it being noticeable.
Of course, fans will also eagerly await the further fate of robot Jimmy (Anthony Hopkins) and the royal family. Could Princess Issa (Stella Grace Fitzgerald) still be alive with her special abilities?
