One of the last decrees signed by the former Minister of Trade and Industry, Federico Alfaro Boyd, was the one that established Panama City Carnival 2024 Board.
Executive Decree no. 24, which officially declares carnivals in the capital, It was signed on November 1when attention was focused on protests against contract law 406.
The regulation was published this Friday in the Official Gazette number 29931-Bwhich establishes that preparatory actions begin this December 31, with the raising of the carnival flag, the details of which are not revealed.
Carnival meeting It is chaired by Nadkyi Duque Jaénformer president of the Association of Shopping Centers (Apacecom) and director of the Tourist Chamber (Camtur).

The other members are Denise Guillenmanager of the Tourist Board; Giselle GonzalezMinister of Culture; Fernando Fondeviladirector of Promtur; Luis Mon Camargo, presenting float-making artists; and Richard Montenegroin the field of fairs and folklore performances.
This committee must coordinate and directs all activities related to the carnival festivities in the city of Panamaauthorized to negotiate sponsorships, hire staff and services, and direct activities related to communication and public relations of this event.
The funds will arrive within the budget of the Administration for Tourism (ATP). to finance the activities of the following capital carnivals, which should begin with the coronation of the queen on February 9, and extend until February 13, 2024.
The regulation also includes that ATP can cooperate with legally established committees and organizations that organize carnival in the interior of the Republic.in accordance with the regulations adopted for this purpose, as has been done in recent years.
