A group of 72 young people and adults completed the training Writers training program (PROFE) 2023.
In this training, they received stationery in genres of poetry, short stories, plays, novels, essays, film scripts, creative writing and in which female participation was highlighted.
Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) via National Arts Authorityholder of this initiative, held a certificate presentation ceremony, where the Minister of Culture Giselle González Villarrué emphasized the durability of the program, its level of excellence and continuity since 2017.
“We invite you to be guardians of permanence a programwhich trains more and more people and does its job by providing writers to the country”, said the minister.
He added, “PROFE was a space for literary growth and creation, opening the door to imagination and creative expression in different genres.”
“Continue to guard, protect, but above all they feel like spread multipliers, so that many more people apply”, the minister added.
The new writers received certificates from the Minister of Culture, Isabel Burgos, National Director of the Arts, and Aleida De Gracia, Program Coordinator. It should be noted that the Writers’ Training Program has won Ricardo Miró awards and other national competitions.
Consuelo Tomás, Alondra Badano, Héctor Collado, Rodolfo De Gracia, Edgar Soberon Torchia, Erasto Espino and Manuel Rodríguez, were outstanding professionals who led and accompanied the groups of participants for the 16 Saturdays that each workshop lasted.
