No one really doubted that George Miller would deliver a worthy sequel to the ‘Mad Max’ trilogy starring Mel Gibson with ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’. This is Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

As the title makes clear, the focus in ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’ will no longer be on Max Rockatansky, who was last played by Tom Hardy, but on a younger version of Charlize Theron’s Furiosa from ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’. . This is now epitomized here by “The Queen’s Gambit” star Anya Taylor-Joy. Your counterpart is (a barely recognizable) Chris Hemsworth (“Thor 3”), who takes on the villain role as Dementus. The villains Immortan Joe and Bullet Farmer, known from ‘Fury Road’, will also be there, but – just like Furiosa – in younger versions.

The plot follows Furiosa as she is kidnapped from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a horde of bikers led by the warlord Dementus. While exploring the post-apocalyptic wasteland, they come across the citadel where Immortan Joe is in charge. As the two tyrants fight for power, Furiosa must overcome many trials to find her way back home.
