“It wasn’t a coincidence”: that’s why Arnold Schwarzenegger praises his former rival Sylvester Stallone highly

Arnold Schwarzenegger (“Terminator”) and Sylvester Stallone (“Rambo”) argued over who was actually the greatest action hero in cinema. In the meantime, however, the two muscle legends have put an end to their rivalry and have even become very good friends. So good that Schwarzenegger even wholeheartedly praised Stallone’s career.

Arnold Schwarzenegger also has his say in the documentary ‘Sly’, which you can watch with a Netflix subscription. The Styrian oak once again underlines that Stallone is an absolutely exceptional artist: “There is no one who has participated in three franchises. The genius behind it. That was no coincidence.”

Of “Rocky“, “Rambo” And “the expendables“Sylvester Stallone has three film series, most of which have been hugely successful. Arnold Schwarzenegger himself has “Conan” and “Terminator” to his name. In the case of ‘Predator’ he was only involved in the first part, but that was certainly the deciding factor in turning the cult sci-fi actor into a six-part series.

If you haven’t seen the documentary ‘Sly’ on Netflix yet and are expecting further appearances from Arnold Schwarzenegger, you won’t be disappointed. Arnie also remembers, for example, what it was like when Stallone suddenly muscled onto the scene, sparking a rivalry that reached its peak in the 1980s.

Moreover, Arnold Schwarzenegger is not only enthusiastic about his action colleague’s career and business acumen, but also celebrates Stallone as a person: “I really admire him. I love him. He’s just a different person than me. He is much rawer, more vulnerable and in touch with his feelings. That makes him special as an actor, because he feels things immediately.”
