With ‘Rocky’, Sylvester Stallone celebrated his breakthrough in the dream factory in the 1970s. A few years later he was able to become an action hero through “Rambo”. Today, Stallone is one of the superstars that everyone knows. However, it was a bumpy road that the actor, screenwriter, director and producer had to navigate to get started in Hollywood.
Before Stallone became Rocky Balboa and John Rambo, things were not going well for the New York native. He kept finding something to do with odd jobs and very small supporting roles, until he finally realized he was more than just broke. This eventually led to Stallone taking the lead role in the softcore porn “The Party At Kitty And Stud’s” (later also called “Kitty & Studs – The Italian Stud Stallion” in Germany).
Stallone has no other option
As the Rocky actor explained in a 1978 interview (via Boy Bible), he had no other choice – or rather the only other option would have been to turn to crime: “Either I make this movie, or I have to rob someone.” Stallone ultimately received $200 for his performance in the film. Not much at first glance, but in such a financial emergency it is certainly more than useful.
If you haven’t seen the film yet and are now assuming that you can actually experience Sylvester Stallone in “action” here, that is not the case. No explicit hardcore sex scenes were ever filmed for ‘Kitty & Studs’. Because the soft-erotic work subsequently appeared in several cut versions, there were also versions that were enriched with hardcore scenes (although this was largely material from “China De Sade”).
