In Inside Out we learned about the different emotions in the head of eleven-year-old Riley. Joy, fear, anger, disgust and sadness faced a challenge when the girl had to move with her parents and initially could not find her way in the new environment. A wild and innovative adventure followed – and for many animation fans, one of the best Pixar films ever. There was even an Oscar nomination for best screenplay and of course the golden boy for best animated film of the year.
With the sequel ‘Inside Out 2’, Kelsey Mann, who has worked at Pixar for a long time in various roles, will build on this success as a director. Not only do we get to know an older Riley, but also completely new emotions that are now tumbling around in her head. Because the sense of fear that already emerges in the trailer to the horror of the established gang of five does not come alone.
All the old and new residents in the mind must first come to terms with each other – after all, there will soon be a new adventure to tackle and Riley to navigate the emotional chaos of being a teenager.
