The EQ.6 series from Siemens has been a well-known name for years among the mid-range fully automatic coffee machines up to 600 euros. With the current promotion, the model is Siemens EQ.6 plus s100 very cheap.

The Siemens EQ.6 plus can do that

Like most fully automatic coffee machines from Siemens, the Siemens EQ.6 plus is impressive silent mill (66.8 decibels) and outperforms almost all competing models in this regard. Only the top model EQ.9 from Siemens is quieter at 59.6 decibels when grinding the beans, which can be adjusted in five settings.

With the EQ.6 plus, the drink of your choice can be easily selected via the display. All variants taste excellent. Coffee strength, temperature and quantity can each be adjusted to three levels. Eight different drinks are available to choose from. You can also have two cups filled at the same time. However, please note that you will need to purchase a milk foam container separately. Or you can simply place the tube in the milk carton.

Cleaning is easy. The fully automatic coffee machine displayed automaticallywhen descaling and replacing the water filter are necessary. The brew group can also be removed for cleaning. Descaling takes place almost automatically. Simply fill up the descaling agent and follow the instructions on the display.

EQ.6 plus s100: What does the model name mean?

The model names of most fully automatic coffee machines are so cryptic that even… Indiana Jones would be hopelessly lost. So let’s shed some light on the matter: The model offered here is the s100 variant with number TE651509DE. The jumble of letters and numbers actually only says that it is the black/titanium-colored version.

The model name s100 means that this is a fully automatic coffee machine the “smallest” model of the EQ.6 series. Unlike its more expensive siblings, this version does not have a milk reservoir and is not made of stainless steel. In addition, the s100 creates “only” 15 bar pressure instead of the 19 bar of the more expensive models. But that also immediately mentions the biggest disadvantages compared to the more expensive models.

Siemens EQ.300 as an alternative to the EQ.6 plus

A cheap alternative to the EQ.6 plus is the Siemens EQ.300which is also available as part of the VAT campaign at the lowest price of only 331.72 euros at MediaMarkt and Saturn* is available.

This is what is special about this fully automatic coffee machine Milk frothing system, which is based on a foam lance. Unlike other machines, you don’t have to pay attention to holding the milk reservoir at the right angle under the frother. Instead, simply place a cup under the lance and wait for the foam to reach the desired consistency.

Furthermore, the EQ.300 performs in all areas very good work, but logically does not come close to the quality of the EQ.6 plus. The grinder is (slightly) louder, the drink quality is not as good, but still very good. Operation and cleaning are also very easy. For this price, the EQ.300 is also a real bargain.
