“Beast Of War”: Jaws in World War II
The focus is on the crew of a warship. During the Second World War, hundreds of Australian soldiers would be taken to the front. But when Japanese fighter pilots appear, a fight for survival begins. The ocean will become a “hell of steel, fire, oil and blood,” as warily declared in the project’s official announcement – but that’s not all:
The few survivors who manage to escape on a self-built raft are soon confronted with a new, even more dangerous threat: a great white shark is hunting them – attracted and spurred on by all the blood in the water.
It will be a while before “Beast Of War” is released. The film, whose cast is not yet known, has yet to be shot. But if you’re looking forward to more from Wyrmwood director Kiah Roache-Turner, you won’t have to wait that long. Because he has already shot the mysterious horror film ‘Sting’. That’s why it’s about a special spider that develops a special bloodlust and continues to grow. StudioCanal has secured the rights for Germany. We expect publication in 2024.
