New on Netflix: Two absolute hit series start their seventh (!) season today

Today is a good day for series fans, because with “Big mouth” And “EliteNew seasons of two major and extremely popular Netflix productions are starting on the streaming service with the red “N”. And while they are both essentially coming-of-age series, they couldn’t be more different. Because while the animated series ‘Big Mouth’ relies entirely on crude humor, ‘Élite’ is fierce and passionate.

Incidentally: Both series are now entering their seventh (!) and penultimate season – because the end of production has already been determined. However, both ‘Big Mouth’ and ‘Élite’ will get a final season in which the last loose plot threads can hopefully be brought to a satisfying conclusion for the fans.

Hormone monsters also need to mature

Fans of dirty humor should get their money’s worth with the new season of the animated series “Big Mouth”. And even though the series sometimes relies heavily on crude jokes and sometimes crosses all boundaries of shame, the teens and their weird hormone monsters still have their hearts in the right place.

This is also reflected in the success of the series: the animated hit, which is based on the childhood memories of author and comedian friends Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg, is currently in its seventh season – an astonishingly long lifespan for Netflix productions. It only seems logical that the series would end with the eighth season, after all, hormone monsters also have to grow up at some point.

The emotional chaos continues

However, with “Élite” it becomes even more dramatic: in the new season we return to Las Encinas. Omar (Omar Ayuso) wants to do an internship at the bilingual school. After Samuel’s death, his past at the elite school simply does not allow him to calm down and so he hopes that his return will give him the opportunity to come to terms with the traumatic events.

But there are old and new acquaintances waiting for him, all of whom are struggling with their own problems and Omar currently has little time for himself. Is there perhaps more to Ivan’s (André Lamoglia) accident than initially seemed and what is the problem of new student Chloe (Mirela Balic)? This is becoming increasingly entangled in scandalous lies.

Fans of the series can look forward to lots of fresh gossip, bare skin, hot dramas and boiling emotions in the seventh round “Élite”. – exactly what made the Spanish hit production a success.
