Baroque jewel: Salzburg Cathedral
Salzburg Cathedral is a baroque masterpiece and the center of the city. It stands out as a special architectural highlight in the cityscape. The original building from 767 was destroyed by fire. Luckily, the Baroque replica from 1598 is so impressive that it has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
