According to BA, the defendant violated ISIS law in several ways. He is accused of recruiting or encouraging others from the Winterthur Salafi circle to join the terrorist militia group Islamic State (IS), which is considered to have returned from Syria.

He showed great commitment and distributed propaganda videos on social media channels. Additionally, in three cases, the defendant obtained violent images and made them available to others.

Surveillance measures revealed that the 25-year-old had faked an accident and had therefore unfairly received accident insurance compensation of almost 16,000 francs. In court, the defendant did not distance himself from ISIS ideology. (Case SK.2023.21)
