We recently learned that the sixth and final season of the Netflix hit ‘The Crown’ will be released in two parts on the streaming service. We will see the first four episodes on November 16, while the second part with the last six episodes awaits us on December 14 this year. The two halves of the season are separated by the tragic car accident between Princess Diana and her lover Dodi Fayed, which occurred in Paris in August 1997 and also divides the modern era of the British Royal Family into a before and an after.
New photos for the final season have now been released, focusing mainly on Diana, but also showing Princes William and Harry as growing royals. In part 1 of the season, the two princes are played by Rufus Kampa and Fflyn Edwards, who in the following photo are sitting close to their beloved mother, in whose role Elizabeth Debicki – as in the previous season – takes on:

The second half of The Crown’s sixth season explores the aftermath of Diana’s death. Prince William, plagued by grief, must reintegrate into the strict boarding school Eton, while the royal family is exposed to harsh public opinion as rarely before.

Inching closer to her golden 50th anniversary in 2002, the Queen (Imelda Staunton) must deal with the future of the monarchy, which is called into question by Prime Minister Tony Blair (Bertie Carvel). Meanwhile, not only the wedding between Prince Charles (Dominic West) and Camilla Parker Bowles (Olivia Williams), but also the young fairytale love of Prince William (played in part 2 by Ed McVey) and Kate Middleton (Meg Bellamy). The story told in ‘The Crown’ finally comes to an end in 2005.
