A few days ago, the third edition of the technological camp for young people in STEM ended and was extended to the provinces of Chiriquí, Coclé and Panamá Oeste.
A total of 86 students participated in the action from official schools and individuals from these three provinces.
This initiative is led by doctors Jessica Guevara and Vanessa Quintero, teachers from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of UTP and scientists associated with CEMCIT AIP.
Teachers, administrators and students from the regional centers of Chiriquí, Coclé and Panamá Oeste also collaborate.
Until the week beginning October 2, 2023. 24 young people from Coclé and 23 young people from Panama Oeste They participated in in-person and virtual sessions in areas such as mathematics, programming, soft skills and project development.
The initiative aims to inspire and empower young high school students to train future leaders facing the challenge of engineering.
The first version of this activity was conducted virtually with students from Panama Oeste 2020. while the second edition was held in person with fifteen brave young women in 2022.
It should be noted that the Camp corresponds to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 5.
