This is how “Avengers 5” and “Avengers 6” should shake up the MCU: This is supposedly the plot for “Secret Wars”

The leaker who proved to be reliable and well informed in the past has now published information about the alleged plots for “Avengers 5: The Kang Dynasty” and “Avengers 6: Secret Wars” on X (formerly: Twitter). After that, the double will be somewhat based on the successful ‘Avengers 3: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers 4: Endgame’. Warning: Possible SPOILERS follow! The information can currently be classified as pure rumors. But if true, they reveal a lot about the plot of the two films.

This is supposedly the plot of “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty”

According to the leaker, “The Kang Dynasty” will be similar to “Infinity War” end in defeat for the newly formed Avengers from the known universe. In the adventure, the team must take on the Council Of Kangs (Jonathan Majors in multiple roles) introduced at the end of “Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania”… and fail completely.

“Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” from director Destin Daniel Cretton (“Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings”) is scheduled to hit theaters on April 29, 2026. The screenplay is by Jeff Loveness (“Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania”).

After the main universe’s heroes and heroines are defeated, help is needed. According to the leaker, it comes – after all, we are in the era of the multiverse – from other worlds. Who is known from “Loki”. TVA secretly built a new Avengers team with characters from different universes. This team will be led by Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man. Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool are also part of it. They are tasked with rescuing the Avengers from Earth-616 and defeating the Kangs in this way on X.

“Avengers 6: Secret Wars” is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2027. The screenplay is by Michael Waldron (“Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness”, “Loki”). The position of director is probably still vacant.

With a new cast of iconic roles like Iron Man?

That would obviously be a powerful change for the MCU. Because let’s speculate beyond the current rumors and think about it for ourselves: countless MCU actors could say goodbye in these films, as one or two characters would certainly be allowed to die. It also gives Marvel the opportunity to not only bring back old stars, but also completely recast iconic roles.

After all, the Avengers multiverse would not only consist of the three characters mentioned. For example, you can bring an Iron Man, a Captain America or a Black Widow from another universe into the team. This could obviously be used for comebacks from Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and/or Scarlett Johansson… or even to introduce completely new actors into these roles. “Loki” & “Deadpool 3” the most important preparation?

The new rumors fit into speculation that has been circulating for some time that the Avengers will be defeated again and then gain the upper hand after a cliffhanger in the second part of the double feature. They also fit with older rumors that there’s a new multiverse Avengers team led by Spider-Man (although previous leaks said Tom Holland’s version was leading the group).

When everything is confirmed, It’s finally clear that it starts tomorrow, October 5, on Disney+ second season of “Loki” becomes a very important preparation. Not only will the concept of the multiverse be further explored there, but Jonathan Majors as Kang (variant) and the bureaucratic organization TVA, which ensures the safety of space and time, will also play an important role.

After that, ‘Deadpool 3’ in particular will probably be an important milestone.
