Jason Statham lets loose as a beekeeper (!) during a brutal campaign of revenge: first trailer for “The Beekeeper”

In ‘The Beekeeper’, Jason Statham plays a man who, at first glance, is completely devoted to beekeeping. But when his neighbor (Phylicia Rashad) is robbed of all her money in a phone scam and then commits suicide, his bees have to take a backseat. Because revenge is his focus now. Even if he has to cut off every finger of everyone involved, he won’t stop until he destroys the entire organization responsible for the scam – although he will soon discover that it is more powerful than he thought. But his opponents soon have to learn the hard way that they are not dealing with a simple beekeeper, but with the former special agent of a mysterious organization called “Beekeepers”…

The action thriller “The Beekeeper” was directed by David Ayer. He is known for ‘Suicide Squad’, ‘Sabotage’, ‘Heart of Steel’ and ‘Bright’. The screenplay comes from Kurt Wimmer (“Equilibrium”, “Salt”, “The Expendables 4”).

In addition to Jason Statham and “The Bill Cosby Show” legend Phylicia Rashad, the cast includes Emmy Raver-Lampman, Josh Hutcherson, Bobby Naderi, Minnie Driver and Jeremy Irons. “The Beekeeper” does not yet have a release date for German cinemas. It will launch in the US in early 2024.

Jason Statham was a regular guest in German cinemas this year. It started earlier this year with ‘Operation Fortune’, followed by ‘Fast & Furious 10’ and ‘Meg 2: The Deep’. The Brit can currently be seen on local screens with “The Expendables 4” alongside Sylvester Stallone and Co. However, in 2024 it appears to be much rarer. “The Beekeeper” is so far the only title featuring the former British high diver, which is already known to be released next year.
