The first season of ‘Alice In Borderland’ was released on Netflix in December 2020 and was such a huge success that the streaming service announced a second season after just two weeks – something that is a rarity these days, as Netflix usually waits longer to decide or a series will be released or a film will be a success. Thanks to the Netflix hit ‘Squid Game’, ‘Alice In Borderland’ even received a boost in popularity before the second season was released in December 2022.
However, fans hoping for another quick extension have since been disappointed Nearly a year has passed without Netflix announcing a third season of ‘Alice In Borderland’. But the streaming service may have already secretly renewed the sci-fi survival battle, reminiscent of “Battle Royale” and “Squid Game,” for a third season.
There are some posts from Japan on X (formerly Twitter). Posters appear to be appearing for “Alice In Borderland”. And not only that: there may also be a code hidden that announces a third seasonsuch as an X user with the username shows:
If you write down the English words for the playing card suits clubs, spades, hearts and diamonds according to the poster (club, spades, hearts, diamonds) and then choose the letter that corresponds to the number on the playing card, you get the words “Alice Three”, i.e. “Alice three” or (possibly) “Alice In Borderland” season 3.
Although ‘Alice In Borderland’ is not included in the current top 10 list of most successful non-English Netflix series of all time (neither season 1 nor season 2), it is still one of the streaming service’s biggest hits .
