Anyone who has ever attended (or even acted in) a primary school theater performance will be able to confirm that most children behave quite touchingly awkwardly on stage, while brilliant acting performances are rare – which is totally fine. This is what makes school performances so charming in the first place.

But in the case of Kristen Stewart that was a little different: In the audience of the school play in which she took part was an acting agent – who immediately recognized the talent of the future “Twilight” star and gave the then eight-year-old a small role in the Disney TV movie “The Thirteenth Year” (1999). She also appeared in several commercials, and you can also see them in a legendary flop from the year 2000 – but only if you know!

If you look closely, you’ll see Kristen Stewart in a Stone Age look

Because in ‘The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas’, the sequel to the successful 1994 theatrical adaptation, which not only disappointed at the box office (in which original stars John Goodman and Rick Moranis did not even want to appear), Stewart is visible for about four seconds – and only from behind! Later in the article you’ll see a photo of the scene in question with Kristen Stewart as a Stone Age extra participating in a ring tossing competition.

If you’re not sure if the photo actually shows Kristen Stewart, check out this YouTube video – here you can see the now 33-year-old in a behind-the-scenes shot from the front and in full Stone Age outfit:

A year later, Stewart got her first real role in a film: in the drama ‘The Safety Of Objects’, based on a collection of short stories, Stewart played a tomboy girl who is mistaken for a boy by her captor and acts as a replacement for him to serve his late brother, alongside stars like Glenn Close. In 2002, she played Jodie Foster’s diabetic daughter in David Fincher’s thriller “Panic Room” and became a sought-after child actress.

In 2008, she finally got her breakthrough role in the vampire novel “Twilight”: in five films she played Bella Swan, who falls in love with the bloodsucker Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). Stewart has now successfully emancipated herself from her teen star image and established herself as a serious character actress with films like ‘Personal Shopper’ (2016) and ‘Spencer’ (2021), for which she received an Oscar nomination. But she also appears again and again in blockbusters such as “Charlie’s Angels” (2019). Stewart is currently working on her directorial debut.
