They will perform a symphonic and circus tribute to Cerati

About thirty musicians and circus artists will take to the stage in Bolivia “Circo Stereo Sitio Sinfónico”, a tribute to the legendary Argentinian band rock Soda Stereo and its late leader, Gustavo Cerati.

The show was announced by the Argentine ambassador, Ariel Basteiro, together with the promoter of the initiative and director of the Cirkus Volarte cast, Mariana Salazar.

Salazar commented that “Circo Stereo” is her personal “dream” because she is “a huge fan Soda Stereo and Gustavo Cerati“and studying in Argentina, which created a very strong connection with the music of that country.

Driven by homage Cirque du Soleil on Soda Stereothe artist was inspired to create a similar performance with her cast.

Last year Fly Circus He presented a small version of the show with a rock band, “and it worked really well,” but Salazar was worried about doing a “bigger production.”

This is how he got together with the singer Pedro Pablo Siles, known as Petrus Silónand with musician Christian Asturizag, director of the Chuquiago Marka Symphony Orchestra, to put on a show “a little more Cirque du Soleil inspired” with live music, magic and circus acts, he explained.

The show will have eight songs at the beginning and another eight after the break, performed by Siles together with the Asturizaga Orchestra.

The songs will accompany the circus actswith “high impact” which includes aerial acrobatics with fabrics and hoops, juggling, contortionism and a “star number” which will be a hair suspension for one of the artists.

“This is a beautiful spectacle,” Salazar said and invited people to come Next September 16 at the Chuquiago Marka fairground in La Paz to witness it.

“There are three groups within the same stage, which puts them on the first level as musical, artistic and circus performances for enjoyment,” the Argentine ambassador pointed out.

Basteiro pointed out that Soda Stereo is one of the “big Argentine music groups”, and Cerati is “a musician who made a sensation”.

He mentioned that too Cerati was recently listed in the top 50rock singer in the world by Billboard magazine, “which shows the greatness, importance and transcendence he had in the world and fundamentally here in Latin America.”

Zeta Bosio and Charli Alberti joined Cerati, who died in 2014 after four years in a coma due to a stroke, the group performed from 1982 to 1997 with a brief comeback in 2007.

Soda Stereo fHe is the creator of hits like “De Música Light”, “Persiana Americana” and “La Ciudad de la Furia”.
