After 55 years (!) The best zombie film of all time is getting a sequel: the most important personal details have been clarified

It’s been known for a while that ‘Twilight Of The Dead’ is another, sixth sequel to the zombie super classic ‘The Night of the Living Dead’ aka ‘Night Of The Living Dead’ waiting for us – and that, although it original is already 55 years old and the director, zombie ancestor George A. Romero, died of lung cancer in 2017 at the age of 77. Now it is known who will follow in Romero’s footsteps.

Like the American trade magazine reported, becomes the filmmaker Brad Anderson to direct “Twilight Of The Dead”. Anderson is perhaps most famous for his sleep-deprived thriller “the engineer, for which thoroughbred actor Christian Bale was emaciated almost to the point of skeleton, he has also staged some real horror films such as “Session 9”, “The Shadow Reign” or “Stonehearst Asylum”. Romero actually wanted to film ‘Twilight Of The Dead’ after that and had already written a so-called treatment for it, namely a rough roadmap for the story and the characters.

Filming for “Twilight Of The Dead” is expected to begin in late 2023, with filming possibly starting in 2024 – if everything goes according to plan (keyword: Hollywood strikes).
