“Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3” was released on August 2, 2023 on Disney+ and, just like it hit theaters a few months earlier, has thrilled a large audience. But now this version of the Guardians is over, as director and screenwriter James Gunn will now exclusively direct DC’s fate and some stars have already said goodbye to their roles. From now on, Disney+ has at least a small consolation.
You can now watch the second season of the MCU series”I am tall‘ – although these two terms are a bit exaggerated. Strictly speaking, these are just five other animated shorts featuring Baby Groot, each lasting a few minutes. “Guardians Of The Galaxy” fans who look very wistfully at an MCU future without Groot & Co. after “Volume 3” can still take a look:
In Season 2, Groot encounters a species of alien bird similar in intelligence and elegance to “Moiana’s” chicken Heihei, and thanks to a detachable nose, discovers the world of scents; he creates an incredibly dangerous snowman on an ice planet, raises money for an interstellar ice cream truck and even meets the mysterious Watcher from the MCU series “What If?”.
We’ve already seen the five new episodes and can tell you: just like the first five episodes, innocent, amusing fun awaits here, with a handful of jokes to make you laugh. The best gag, just like Season 1, is when Groot fast-forwards the familiar Marvel intro at the start of each episode, which of course quickly disappears after five episodes.
