Hello dear community
Lately I have been thinking a lot about the role of religion in my daily life. I grew up in a family that saw religion as an important part of life. As a teenager, I began to form my own beliefs and values, although these had little to do with my parents’ religion.
As I grew older, I noticed that religion played an increasingly important role in my life. Especially in the last few years I have started thinking more about spiritual things, especially thoughts about death and what comes after.
I’ve also noticed that my religious beliefs have started to influence my relationships, especially my choice of partner. If I notice that someone has nothing at all to do with the subject of God, I immediately block it – but actually I don’t think this development is a good thing. But I feel that my views are being smiled at, especially in cities like Zurich, Bern and Basel…
I’m not sure how to deal with all these changes.
How does religion affect your life choices, especially regarding relationships? Can a relationship between a non-religious person and a religious person work?
I am curious about your opinion and experiences on this subject. Please respect my religious beliefs and those of those commenting – I hope for a fair exchange and not smiling at those who may think differently from you.
