“Barbie” shatters a 15-year-old record – beating “Oppenheimer” director Christopher Nolan!

Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” starring Margot Robbie in the title role is currently raging like a tsunami through cinemas around the world – breaking rows of box office records in the process. International figures for Monday and Tuesday are still pending, but both films should continue to shine outside of North America. In its opening weekend, “Barbie” grossed approximately $344 million worldwide, and “Oppenheimer” grossed $176 million.
