28-year-old model Gigi Hadid was arrested along with her friends while trying to enter the Cayman Islands for possession of marijuana and some means for its consumption.
The model and her friends were preparing to enjoy a few days in a tropical destination, and when they went through customs, they found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in their luggage.
The amounts were “relatively small even for theirs personal consumption”, however, the same was also found in luggage her friends.
Both the model and her friends were arrested on suspicion of “ganja import and import of tableware used for consumption of this”, a charge to which they pleaded guilty.
They appeared on July 12 and after the plea guilty they were fined $1,000 and released on bail while they wait instructions case.
“Gigi traveled with marijuana purchased legally in New York and medical licenseit is also legal for medical use in grand caiman since 2017. After this, her record remains clear and she has enjoyed the rest of her time on the island,” Hadid’s rep revealed to “People.”
