Madonna after hospitalization: ‘I’m on the mend’

American musician Madonna (64) thanked her fans for the recovery wishes after a hospital stay. She was “on the mend,” Madonna said via Instagram on Monday.

“I am now focusing on my health and getting stronger and I can assure you that I will be with you again as soon as possible.”

Due to a serious bacterial infection, the pop star had to spend several days in intensive care in June and initially postponed his world tour, originally scheduled for July 15. When she woke up in the hospital, the first thing she thought about was her children, Madonna wrote. The second thought was for their fans. “I didn’t want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for the tour.”

The “current plan” is to postpone the North American leg of the tour, but to continue the European leg from October. Concerts in the neighboring countries of Switzerland, Italy, France and Germany are scheduled for November, among others. (sda/dpa)
