Britney Spears furious: ‘Was punched in the face by security guards’

Britney Spears (41, “Baby One More Time”) responded on Instagram to an incident where a security guard allegedly punched the singer in the face.

During the confrontation in Las Vegas, she lost her glasses and nearly fell to the ground, she wrote Thursday (local time). According to Spears, she saw basketball player Victor Wembanyama outside a restaurant in Casino City and approached him to congratulate him on his success.

She patted the 19-year-old on the shoulder from behind to get his attention. One of his bodyguards intervened and hit her across the face with his hindquarters. “It’s super embarrassing” to share this story publicly, but she wants to show people deserve more respect, Spears wrote. There is too much violence in the world.

Someone touched him from behind, Frenchman Wembanyama, or Wemby for short, told reporters on Thursday. He kept running on the advice of his security guards. It wasn’t until hours later that he found out it was Spears.

In her post, the singer thanked researchers in Las Vegas for their support. According to “People” magazine, police announced that officials were conducting an investigation at the scene on Wednesday night for possible bodily injuries.
