Film director Abner Benaim continues to leave a high name in Panama, on this occasion he was admitted to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as a voting member.
“I want to thank Academy for accepting me and all my dreams as a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences,” wrote Benaim on his Instagram profile.
As expected, his followers are excited for this great achievement in the field of cinema for the country.
“How proud! More than deserved,” the journalist wrote Syria Miranda; “Congratulations Abner!” commented Rossana Uribe; and “Waoooo congratulations! And long live Panama,” wrote Karina Linnett. These were just some of the many comments.
It was announced that Taylor Swift, Austin Butler, Ke Huy Quan, Keke Palmer, NT Rama Rao Jr.among 398 artists and managers who were invited to become members of the Academy.
In case Taylor Swift and other guests agree to be a part Academythey would have the opportunity to vote at the Oscars and thus decide which films, directors or actors will win the statuette.
“The academy is proud to give welcome to these artists and professionals to our membership,” said Academy Executive Director Bill Kramer.

So far there is 10,665 members and 9,375 they have the right to vote for Oscar.
