Tim Burton’s Batman movies are cult for fans of the Dark Knight. Now you can bring the magic of movies into your living room. The new “Bat Cave – Showcase” set offers many highlights and, above all, many stones.
At the beginning, the set, which contains about 4,000 parts, costs 399.99 euros from Lego. Since the Batcave is sold exclusively through Lego, a sale through Amazon or other stores is not expected for the time being. This can change, but usually takes a while.
In terms of price, Lego remains within the usual range with the set and is around ten cents per part. For this you not only get a lot of stones, but also interesting features.
Lego Batman: Giant bat cave for your shelf
At least since the Hogwarts Moments series from the “Harry Potter” universe, opening Lego sets have been an exciting alternative in the Danish company’s product range. Now Lego is venturing into the DC universe as well, launching the biggest DC and book set to date. The model is based on the 1992 Batman Returns movie.
The Batcave is aimed at mature customers and takes up quite a bit of shelf space. When folded, the set measures 51cm x 29cm x 14cm. When opening, the width increases gigantic 114 cm. For example, the set only really makes an impression if you have enough space.
Unlike the Harry Potter book sets, the Batcave is visible from the outside when folded. Through a huge bat symbol you can see part of the landscape including the Batmobile. The iconic Batman vehicle stands approximately 11 inches (28 cm) long and can extend its cannons at the touch of a button.
Seven minifigures and many functions
The full glory of the Batcave is revealed when unfolded. In the center the Batmobile is enthroned under a bat symbol on a nice ramp. On the Batcomputer, the screens can be swapped and Penguin and Catwoman can be seen at work. There is also a weapon cabinet with an opening door, a Batsuit cabinet with lights and a sliding door for the Batmobile.
Seven minifigures complete the set. Featuring two Batmans, Bruce Wayne the Penguin, Alfred Pennyworth, Catwoman and Max Shreck. Batman fans with the necessary variety will get a real eye-catcher with this set, which not only attracts attention due to its size.
However, you should take into account that a large part of the construction time goes into the display case. But that also has its charm, because here you can build with many standard bricks again – nowadays no longer obvious with Lego. There are no prints, just a few stickers to stick.
Lego Batmobile: Pre-order now
If you find the Batcave less exciting and you are more interested in the Batmobile, you can buy the “Batmobile: Batman Pursues the Joker” set from Lego 47.99 euros* pre-order.

The model is based on the Batmobile from the 1989 movie “Batman” and has the same dimensions as the vehicle from the Batcave. The trunk can be opened and flames shoot out of the exhaust. The set is intended for younger Lego fans aged eight and up and will be delivered from August 1.
