In “No Hard Feeling,” Jennifer Lawrence proves on the big screen that she’s one of the dream factory’s most uninhibited superstars. Her self-sacrificing performance, in which the actress not only proves her comedic talent yet again, but also shows full physical effort, will be remembered for a while, mainly because of an already iconic nude fight on the beach.
Jennifer Lawrence celebrated her big break with the ‘Hunger Games’ franchise. Lawrence played the role of Katniss Everdeen in four films and was ultimately able to lead the series to a breakthrough success – eventually the saga grossed more than $ 2.9 billion worldwide. If Jennifer Lawrence’s plans had worked out, she wouldn’t have had time for “The Hunger Games”…
Jennifer Lawrence wanted to be in Twilight
In the “podcast, Jennifer Lawrence recently revealed that she originally wanted to star in a completely different series: “I auditioned for ‘Twilight’. They rejected me right away. I didn’t even get a call back. But my life would have turned out very differently. About a year later, I got “The Hunger Games,” I think. That was probably after Winter’s Bone.”
While Jennifer Lawrence really got off to a flying start with The Hunger Games, eventually winning an Oscar in the Best Actress category for the tragic comedy Silver Linings, the 2010 indie drama Winter’s Bone was THE defining film that helped Lawrence grab the attention of the industry by her acting talent. Even then, the 20-year-old received an Oscar nomination.
Ultimately, Lawrence said on the podcast, she’s not unhappy about Twilight’s rejection either. The media attention that Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner received would eventually have killed them. Lawrence would also learn what it means to be a huge star through “The Hunger Games,” but it all happened in an acceptable way – which probably can’t be said in the case of “Twilight.”
