The Prince of Wales is launching an initiative this Monday aimed at ending homelessness in the UK over the next five years, Kensington Palace revealed in a statement.
William, the eldest King Charles III and heir to the British throne, will tour the country to launch a project called “Homewards”, with which he hopes to make homelessness “rare, brief and non-recurring” and “from ambition to reality”.
The official note from the palace states that Prince “The intention is to make rough sleeping, sleeping on other people’s sofas and other forms of temporary accommodation a thing of the past in an attempt to emulate Finland, where the problem has been eradicated.”
The five-year project will focus on a principlein six locations, to be announced between Monday and Tuesday, where local businesses, organizations and individuals will be encouraged to join forces and develop action plans to eradicate the problem with £500,000 (€582,700) in funding.

Six selected areas, including one in London, They were selected after a nomination process and will create models that can be adopted in other parts of the country.
