Jeffrey Bruce Atkins Sr. (47), behind the stage name Ja Rule. It skyrocketed to the top of charts worldwide with hits like “Always on Time”, “Ain’t It Funny” or “Mesmerize”. With more than 30 million records sold and four Grammy nominations, Ja Rule is one of the most successful rappers in the USA.

It was recently announced that the rapper is now also entering the wine business and has registered the Rose Vine Cellars label. This is red wine from California’s Alexander Valley about an hour and a half north of San Francisco. Of course, Ja Rule does not make the wine himself, but works with professionals from the wine industry.

Ja Rules wines are in the premium segment

Unlike the lower-end US rapper Snoop Dogg’s (51) Nine Crimes wines, Ja Rule’s bottlings sit well above that: for $100 there’s a 0.75-liter bottle of Red Rose Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, the top of the bottle The part is covered with red wax. For an additional $50, customers can receive a hand-signed bottle with a black wax cap.

If you love luxury, you can get a gold-embroidered rose for $250 in addition to the signature bottle. Shipping costs within the US are already included in the prices.

The grapes for Ja Rules Wein, a Cabernet Sauvignon variety, come from 60-year-old vines, according to Wines That Rock winery. The result is an intense red wine with notes of cinnamon, black cherry and dark chocolate surrounded by a velvety tannin structure.

It is not yet known whether Ja Rules wines will also be sold in Switzerland.
