The rumors are true: the new “Batman” movie has finally found its director

Batman: The Brave And The Bold is undoubtedly one of the most exciting projects James Gunn has announced as DC’s new creative director. Not only the Dark Knight is central here, but also his family. Especially his son Damian, who appears here as his iconic helper Robin, will be of great importance.

The rumor has been circulating so vigorously for the past few weeks that it has almost become an open secret: “The Flash” director Andy Muschietti would be the absolute favorite to direct “Batman: The Brave And The Bold”. It is now officially confirmed (reports exclusively) that this is indeed the case and that Dowee will be taking on a directorial role in the upcoming DC blockbuster.

“Batman: The Brave And The Bold” harkens back to Grant Morrison’s comic series, which has always been considered quite influential by fans. It is not yet clear who will write the script for the film. It is also still completely unclear who will play the lead role in the new Dark Knight film. But again just to be sure, so that there is no confusion:

Batman: The Brave And The Bold will be part of the new DC Universe (DCU), which will also include Superman: Legacy, directed by James Gunn himself. “The Batman 2” with Robert Pattison has nothing to do with the DCU, but is part of the so-called “Elseworlds”. Individual comedy film adaptations not part of the official sequentially narrated DCU series operate under this label.
