Her work as a scene thief was worth it, because on May 18, 2023, her own series “XO, Kitty” began on the streaming platform with the big N – and quite successfully.
In its first week, the “XO, Kitty” spin-off series has streamed 72 million hours, over 180 million hours to date – and this success pays off: It is now known that XO, Kitty has been renewed for a second season. So the great To All The Boys franchise is about to keep growing!
What’s Next for Season 2 of “XO, Kitty”?
While there were still novels by author Jenny Han before the three “To All The Boys” movies, things look very different when it comes to the series. “XO, Kitty” ties in with the movies, but was developed from scratch. It’s a good thing that Han is also involved in the series, serving as both showrunner and screenwriter. So she is in the middle of the case and can immediately continue working on season 2.
In the first season of XO, Kitty, Kitty Song Covey not only travels to Korea to see the love of her life, Dae (Choi Min-young), but also to attend an elite boarding school and discover her own roots . But Kitty has to realize that she imagined her time in Korea very differently. Turbulence quickly ensues in her love life and Kitty is unsure how to proceed.
As Kitty flies back to the United States, she realizes she’s starting all over again and her adult life is just beginning. So the possible storylines for a second season of XO, Kitty are quite diverse and we wonder which way the journey will take…
It is not yet known when the second season of “XO, Kitty” will start. We expect new episodes in the spring of 2024 at the earliest.
