On June 22, 2023, Pixar’s latest work “Elemental” will launch, which has a lot of “everything turned upside down” vibes. The next cinema adventure from Disney’s animation studios “Toy Story” and “Oben”, which has already been announced for 2024 and has already received a first trailer, will take a slightly different direction.
“Eliotells an original sci-fi story all about the 11-year-old title hero (original voice: Yonas Kibreab), who, as a creative dreamer, doesn’t really belong in his environment. But one day his life is turned upside down when he is suddenly beamed up by aliens and mistaken for Earth’s chosen intergalactic ambassador. Elio embarks on a turbulent cosmic adventure far beyond his wildest imagination.
Directed by Adrian Molina, Elio makes his solo directorial debut after co-directing Pixar’s critically acclaimed Hereafter hit Coco with Pixar veteran Lee Unkrich. The movie comes out less than a year after “Elemental”: Elio hits theaters on February 29, 2024. The original voice cast also includes “Superstore” and “How to Train Your Dragon” star America Ferrera as Elio’s alien research mom.
