Azael Pitti: The Artist Behind ‘The Power of Line and Color’

Recently, businessman and plastic artist Azael Pitti presented the exhibition “The Power of Line and Color”, a sample of 17 works painted in oil and acrylic, at the Visual Arts Gallery Juan Manuel Cedeño.

This is the first time that the artist is showing his art publicly in a space of great historical value, since in the past he had a private exhibition for a select group of 60 people.

The works in the exhibition, supervised and led by art historian María Carballeda, are evocative beauty and charm of Panama and his skirtbut from an innovative perspective, Pitti used technique geometric realismsomething that fills him with great satisfaction because it is the first time in Panama that this technique is used folk paintingsIn addition, it allowed him to break out of the traditional and find his own style.

“Geometric realism shapes the world from the elements that are inherent to it.line, shape and color – through which he implements a structured visual organization expressed by patterns or sequences that ensure balance and dynamics composition“, explained the artist.

Pitti, 68, said Panama America that his beginnings in art go back to childhood, he was four years old when he started practicing drawings and she hasn’t stopped since, winning several competitions throughout her high school and college education.

He was messing with advertising commercial image in the teenage years for the prestigious local brands and can say that his university career was paid for by artistic and commercial painting, he graduated in art and advertising in Pontifical University of Javerianain Bogota, Colombia.

Pitti (@azael.pitti) dedicated his whole life plastic artsbeing an artist and a publicist complement each other in a balanced way, both aspects have a common point, you have to constantly reinvent yourself.

In 1988, the artist and publicist founded his agency Génesis Publicidad y Marketing, he managed it for 25 years and more than the general director was another member creative design departmentbecause it was not easy for him to get rid of drawings, color designs, etc opportunity constantly create new ideas.

Finally, the artist announced that he is working on his second themewhich he hopes to exhibit at the end of the year, will be something in the same technique, but he promises that it will be something never seen before.
