The ending of “Avatar 2: The Way Of Water” and the statements made so far by all those involved already allow to draw conclusions about some details about “Avatar 3”. Before we sum it all up and tell you what Fire Na’vi, Desert Na’vi, a “Game Of Thrones” star in the cast, and the return of a supposedly dead character are all about, a note first: Avatar 2: The Way Of Water is currently available on Disney+.
But now we come to the already known details about “Avatar 3”:
New villains led by the “Game Of Thrones” star: The Fire Na’vi
The main villains of the next film are not humans again, but this time a Na’vi people: The fire Na’vi, also called “Ash People” by director James Cameron. You are a aggressive Vulcan people, who already give details about the environment in which they live. It was also revealed that they do not see themselves as villains, but believe they are on the good side.
Oona Chaplinknown among others as the healer Talisa who later married Robb Stark in “Game Of Thrones”, the evil Fire Na’vi will lead in “Avatar 3” as Varang.

Also in “Avatar 3”?: The desert Na’vi, a nomadic people
it is already known that several more biomes of Pandora will be explored over time. Next to the volcano, home of the Fire Na’vi, can appear in “avatar 3“The desert also plays a role. Production designers Dylan Cole and Ben Procter revealed in an interview that they design desert Na’vi.
According to their indications, this is more likely to be the case a nomad-like people who do not live in one place but roam the desert. In the interview, they also described the people as ““. It hasn’t been explicitly confirmed that they’re planned for Avatar 3 yet, but since the production designers have been working on them for a while, it can be assumed that they are.
This figure believed that dead returns
Who among you thought Tulkun fighter Mick Scoresby (Brendan Cowell) was dead after he lost his arm while fleeing in the grand final fight with Payakan? It’s not him.
“Avatar” producer Jon Landau has already explained that Tulkun Payakan and his friendship with Lo’ak (Britain Dalton) play an important role in the third part – and in this regard, Scoresby came into play. It is unknown if he survived with one arm or if his consciousness was somehow saved and is now loaded into an avatar.
Unanswered Questions and New Narrator for “Avatar 3”
Plus, we’re pretty sure “Avatar 3” will also answer one of the biggest questions that “Avatar 2” has left unanswered: does Kiri have a father – or does Dr. Grace Randolph (Sigourney Weaver) through a deity to her child? The latter would at least explain Kiri’s extraordinary bond with Eywa…
James Cameron also revealed that the von Sam Worthington embodied Jake Sully as the narrator in the third Pandora adventure. Instead, his already mentioned son Lo’ak, who already has the greatest development of all characters in part 2, comes to the fore – and rightly so. Apparently it will be of great importance in the future…
After “Avatar 3” there is a big leap in time
Finally, let’s look ahead to the other parts – because small details are also known about them. “avatar 4‘ will involve a ‘big time jump’. We’re sure the time jump will only happen during the course of the movie itself.
After all, James Cameron has already filmed part of “Avatar 4” – also because actor Jack Champion (Spider) would otherwise have been too old. This indicates that we Spider and Co. even younger at the beginning of “Avatar 4”, then as older characters after the time jump.
Sober in “Avatar 5”
It is also already known that there is a detour to earth in “Avatar 5”. So far, James Cameron has refrained from showing life on Earth in cinema. A corresponding opening scene, which he originally directed for “Avatar – Aufbruch nach Pandora”, he subsequently removed from the film as he felt it only unnecessarily delayed the beginning of the actual story. Only in a later published expanded edition for home theater (is available as a Collector’s Edition on Blu-ray*) he re-installed these scenes on Earth due to popular demand from fans, but made it clear that he personally preferred the starship take-off over Pandora.
The fifth film shows an Earth that has collapsed due to overpopulation and depletion of natural resources. It’s not just about showing the bleak future our planet is heading towards. It should be more optimistic “The film is about the idea of how we can change our course,” the makers stated in interviews.
“avatar 3‘ is scheduled to hit theaters December 18, 2024,’avatar 4‘ then on December 16, 2026 and ‘avatar 5finally on December 20, 2028.
