Prince Harry: I’ve been misled by the media all my life

Prince Harry said he had been “fooled” by the press all his life, testifying at London’s High Court in his lawsuit against a group that owns newspapers including the Daily Mirror tabloid over alleged wiretapping.

He Duke of Sussex faced hours today from a lawyer representing Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN), Andrew Green, who argued that Enrique had no evidence that journalists at any of the group’s newspapers had used dubious tactics to gain access to his life.

“All my life, the press He cheated on meyou covered up malpractice, so you’re sitting here in the front court knowing that the defense has evidence in front of them and that Mr. Green is saying that I’m speculating … I’m not really sure what to say about this,” said the youngest son of King Carlos III, who was also questioned by his lawyer, David Sherborne.

During today’s hearing, the lawyer for MGN has repeatedly repeated that he is a duke He moved in the “sphere of total speculation” claiming that the journalists of those tabloids illegally tapped phones in order to obtain private information, which Enrique firmly denied.

Green also asked him if he could identify the single message vote that he knew he was being wiretapped illegally, to which the prince replied that “there is hard evidence that (there is) something suspicious” and added that he believed “the wiretapping started in the Mirror group”.

Wiretapping may even have occurred over a period of time more than 15 years, according to Enrique: “It could have happened. I just don’t know. That’s part of the reason I’m here,” he said.

In the morning session, the prince Enrique He also revealed that some articles published by the MGN Group newspaper which quoted “palace sources” to publish stories about his relationship with his ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy were the product of illegal wiretapping.

The duke alluded to an article he had published “La gente” in September 2007 that he spoke of an “apparently troubled relationship” the Duke had with a South African.

That article stated that “Prince Henry’s affair with Chelsy Davey is in crisis after a series of heated arguments” and assured that “precious Chelsy is furious and deeply disgusted with Enrique after three monumental fights”.

“I never discussed any details with people from palace over my relationship with my girlfriend, so attributing that information to a palace source is incredibly suspect,” he noted.

After the end of the prince’s historical testimony, the trial will continue in the following days with the testimony of the other prosecutors, after which the court will declare, on an unspecified date.
