“The Purge 6” is coming: this is how the horror franchise with Marvel star Frank Grillo continues

Actor Frank Grillo has already revealed that the series “The Purge” could continue after the last movie “The Forever Purge”, although the end of the franchise was actually already announced – even though nothing is certain at this point. Now the sequel is actually safe: Creator and screenwriter James DeMonaco has spoken revealing that he completed the script a few months ago – even revealing the details of the plot!

In “The Forever Purge”, the previous boundaries and laws of the “Purge” series are blown up and a group of ruthless misfits start killing, completely independent of the one night when officially any crime can be committed. By the end of the movie, America is down, the foundations of democracy no longer in place – sounds like a perfect, self-logical, and rather cringe-inducing ending to the series. But as already said, “The Purge 6” is still going on.

How will “The Purge 6”

DeMonaco explains that while “The Purge 6” will be in the tradition of the previous series, it will also be completely different. “It’s a New America We’re Invading Now”he explains in an interview and goes on to say that the states are now in a state of discord and are defined only by ideologies, sexualities and religions.

According to DeMonaco, his latest film shows how much America has changed under former President Trump. This is how he explains: “The discord that is growing in politics is only getting bigger and we’ve always thought about that.” For the screenwriter, the Purge series functions as a mirror of society.

Marvel star Frank Grillo, who played a central role in The Purge 2: Anarchy and The Purge 3: Election Year, will also appear in The Purge 6 – as he previously teased. However, the film does not yet have a release date.
