Panamanian Arturo Doratiand his friends Team of the Madrid Olympic Fencing Clubthey won first place and Gold Cup in the third stage of the Spanish national championship.
Dorati, since last year coronavirus pandemic, He trains with that team on Spanish territory, which helped him raise his competitive level.
“The goal is training and searching amount of attacks in Madrid together with the best Iberian athletes”, assured the President of the Fencing Commission Solmoraine Ameglio.
Ameglio also thanked for the support Royal Spanish Fencing Federation and its president Luis Abajo “which allows our top athletes to participate in training and competitions.”
Arturo Dorati also spent 15 days training and competing last January Madrid in the second phase of the Spanish Championshipas well as in, as he described, a close competition in which about 270 competitors took part, where he was sixth, very close to the bronze medal.
Before the last competition, the Panamanian fencer was ranked 11th in the Spanish national rankings, which allowed him to qualify for stage three where the best competed.
