It rejects the appeal filed by the companies against the sentence of the National Court

The Supreme Court confirmed the judgment of the National Court from 2021, which found that the airline company Ryanair and its subcontractors Crewlink Ireland and Workforce Contractors violated the right to strike of the workers who participated in the strike called in September 2019.

The Supreme Court therefore rejects the appeal filed by the companies and declares the radical nullity of several of the company’s actions, as contrary to the fundamental rights to strike and freedom of association. It therefore orders the airline and two subcontractors to compensate the plaintiff unions, USO-STA and Sitcpla, with 60,000 euros in moral damages. The judgment of the Supreme Court also obliges the convicted companies to return the productivity bonus to the workers who participated in the strike, which is up to 150 euros per month, from which only 5 euros can be deducted for each day of participation in the said strike. strike strike
